For Parents. A healthier alternative to braces

Gum infection (gingivitis), gum growth (gingival hyperlasia), decalcification (white spots) and decay are all potential complications of braces treatment, especially with our younger patients. With Invisalign you can remove the aligners for normal brushing and flossing. And on top of this, early research also tends to indicate that there may be less or none of the more serious braces compications like root resorption (affects 3-4% of braces cases) and loss of tooth vitality (death of tooth nerve).

For Parents. Compliance is the key

The aligners have to be worn about 22 out of 24 hours a day, just taking them out for eating and tooth brushing. You know your child best, but fortunately we can help in a couple of ways.

There is a blue 'compliance indicator' which changes colour when worn the appropriate amount of time. 

And I have had 4 teenagers, so I know how forgetful they are. So we offer up to 5 free aligner replacments for lost and damaged aligners.

Plus we put a lot of effort into making Duncan Orthodontics and the Straight Smile Centre a fun place to be.
